Teaching Assistant Positions – 32.5 hours (8.30 – 3.30pm)
- · One maternity cover – One year fixed term contract from September 2026
- · One class based – starting immediately (or as soon as possible afterwards)
Marcham CE Primary School is looking for experienced, passionate and committed teaching assistants to join our school team.
Marcham C of E Primary School is an inclusive school just outside Abingdon. We are proud of the Christian ethos and values shared by all staff, children, parents and Governors. We are a one form entry school with a wide-ranging intake, committed to fostering a love of learning and keen to make the world a better place. We received a Good OFSTED rating in June 2023 but we are always striving to be better at getting better and are looking for someone special to join us on this journey.
We are looking to appoint experienced and proactive teaching assistants to work within our school. One position is most likely within Early Years (September 2026) and the other is within a Lower Key Stage 2 class primarily with pupils who need additional support to access the curriculum and manage their social and emotional needs (start immediately or as soon as possible afterwards).
The successful candidates will:

- work closely with the class teacher and existing adults within the class to support learning

- support pupils to develop emotional regulation and independence
